The EF 50mm f/1.2 USM lens takes your portraits to the next level. Designed for extremely fine control over a narrower depth of field, it allows the primary subject in your portrait to pop out of the picture. Use of an aspherical lens delivers sharp, high-contrast images and an 8-blade circular aperture delivers amazing background blur (even when stopped down). This lens has demonstrated the ability to handle direct sunlight with well-controlled flare just as well as low light conditions, including candlelight. In addition, the use of a micro USM lens drive makes autofocusing quick and quiet.
